  • Rice is a kharif (rainy season) crop. Which needs high (more than 25 degree) temperature.

  • The biological cycle (days from seeding to harvesting) of annual rice can range from 95 days to 250 days. Medium maturing varieties can be harvested in 120-150 days after planting.

  • Keep the field waterlogged for two weeks after planting rice. The depth of standing water should not normally be more than 10cm.

  • Two weeks after transplanting plants or 21 days after seeding is the critical period in which most farmers apply nitrogen.
